What we collect through papayacreative.co, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Papaya Creative Studio ("Papaya", "we") is based in Kitchener, Ontario. This policy explains what personal information we collect through papayacreative.co, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
- When you request a quote (papayacreative.co/start): your name, business name, email, phone number, website address and your answers about the project.
- When you place an apparel order request (papayacreative.co/shop): your name, business, email, phone, the order details, notes, and the logo file you upload.
- When you email, call, text or WhatsApp us: whatever you choose to send.
- When you browse the site: if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and how you arrived. We never send your name, email or phone number to Google Analytics.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not run advertising trackers on this website.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and deliver the work you hire us for.
- To produce and deliver apparel orders, including preparing your logo for print.
- To keep records our accountant and the Canada Revenue Agency require.
- To understand which pages are useful, so we can improve the site (analytics, only with your consent).
We will only send you marketing email if you have asked for it or we have another basis under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), and every such message lets you unsubscribe.
Cookies
The site uses one category of optional cookies: Google Analytics (_ga and related cookies). They are off until you click Accept on the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer. The site also stores small preferences in your browser (for example, that you have already seen the intro animation, and your cookie choice). These do not identify you.
Who processes it for us
We use a small number of service providers to run the site and the studio. Some store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law.

How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become work are deleted within 24 months. Client and order records are kept for as long as the CRA requires business records to be kept (generally six years). Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it where we are not required to keep it. You can also withdraw consent for analytics at any time. Email contact@papayacreative.co and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
